From Brazil, the world’s largest producer of coffee. Grown on the chapada, or plateaus, of the Brazilian Highlands, the region boasts three of the highest coffee growing areas in the country: Pico das Almas, the Pico of Itobira and the Pico of Barbados. Previously known more for its cacao production and for some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, Bahia is quickly becoming one of Brazil’s most sought-after sources of fine Arabica coffees.
Bahia Blue is undoubtedly unique as a Brazilian grown coffee. While most unroasted coffees are green, this coffee’s special method of fermentation imparts a blue-ish tone to the bean. This process and high elevation combine together to create a remarkably clean-tasting cup.
Roasted to a medium color to develop optimal flavor. With notes of semi-sweet chocolate and orange rind, our new Brazil Bahia is a perfect cup morning, noon and night.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that 25¢ per pound will go to Coffee Kids, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and families who live in coffee-growing communities around the world.
